The Nigerian film industry, commonly known as Nollywood, has entered the biggest international streaming agreements in its history, with three major global platforms committing a combined $800 million over five years for exclusive and non-exclusive content partnerships.
The deals are expected to fund hundreds of new productions, expand existing catalogues, and create thousands of direct and indirect jobs in Nigeria's creative economy.
Industry observers said the agreements reflect a tectonic shift in global appetite for African storytelling.
